THE DREAM,

Welcome to THE DREAM EDUCATIONAL CENTRE--an inspired K-8 school bringing education, hope, the right to dream and a rich future to 112 pupils from Waithaka and Kawangware slums and their environs.

Yes, we're a small institution. But we have a pretty big dream ourselves. We are determined to provide children who would otherwise never even learn how to read or write with an education that gives them not just the basic tools but inspires them to live lives full of promise and purpose.
At The Dream Educational Centre, we expose our students to possibilities, broaden their exposure and experience and give them the tools and motivation to succeed in life. And our school is unique: in addition to the basic A,B,C's, school trips, talents shows and home gardening, they also gain a practical understanding of God's love for them through the basic teachings of Christian Science--that God is Love and that they are God's beloved children.
In the light of God's plan and infinite possibilities for their young lives, we help them see the shanties they leave every morning as a launching ground, and their education at The Dream Education Center as "their rocket ship" that will eventually take them through high school and one day, college, and enable them to be active change-agents in the world.
